Set up your till
Create a till, set its default opening float, choose an electronic cash drawer or a manual cash box, and pick the device and printer that run it.

A till is a cash point, such as Bar Till. It holds a float, records cash taken and is counted at the end of the shift. You need at least one: the day can't start until a till is open.
Set tills up in Settings → Tills (in the app, More → Setup → Tills).
Add a till
- Tap + Till.
- Enter a Till name, unique at the location.
- Enter the Default opening float. You can change it when you open the float.
- Department is an optional label, such as Bar.
- Choose the Operating device - the device that is this till. It takes Quick Sales and, with a drawer, opens it and manages the float. A device can operate only one till. Leave None (no device assigned) until the device is bound.
- Choose the Cash drawer (below).
- For an electronic drawer, choose the Cash drawer printer it plugs into. None (no cash drawer) works; the drawer just won't open by itself.
- Tap Save.
The operating device's payments go to this till automatically. If it has no bill printer, its bills print on the cash drawer printer.
Electronic drawer or manual cash box
- Electronic (opens via printer) - opens on a cash payment. Only the operating device takes cash.
- Manual cash box (no printer) - opened by hand. Any device linked to this till can take cash.
Link more devices by setting their Payment till - see Device assignments. For the hardware, see Cash drawers.
Check it's ready
The app's Tills screen shows Ready to take cash or Setup incomplete with a checklist. On the web, a till with no operating device says No till device: Quick Sale is unavailable on this till.
Setup → Tills: each till's Ready to take cash checklist.
Change or delete a till
Edit, change, Save. Delete unlinks its devices and keeps its history. A till with an open float can't be deleted - reconcile it first. Once live, a web change takes effect when the Primary applies it.
